Marking the fifth Only Watch auction in Monaco, Christophe Claret has presented their X-TREM-1 Pinball timepiece. Designed to reflect the aspect of “Play”, one of the most important activities involving childhood development, the Pinball takes its inspiration from the game that it’s named after and is a distinctive interpretation of Christopher Claret’s X-TREM-1.

New details include a reworked appearance of the movement made to resemble the inside of a pinball machine, with bumpers, slingshots and balls all held inside the highly visible timepiece. Bright blues and pops of orange also do a nice job of adding to the whimsy feel that this watch evokes. Clearly a unique piece not found anywhere else on the watch market, the flying tourbillon watch is also equipped with a retrograde hours and minutes display system. Two tiny metal balls, isolated within grilled sapphire tubes along the side of the face, magically move with no mechanical connection thanks to magnetic fields.
